Finance your kei vehicle

We work with Collector Car Leaders, a lender network built around collector and imported vehicles — the kind most banks' valuation books have never heard of. The application takes a few minutes.

Your lender will require agreed-value insurance

A standard auto policy pays actual cash value — replacement cost minus depreciation, priced from valuation books that have no entry for a 25-year-old kei import. No lender will fund a loan against collateral its own insurer would write off for a fraction of the sale price.

Line this up while your application is in review, not after. It is the single most common reason a kei loan stalls at closing.

Agreed value pays the exact figure you and the insurer settled on in writing — no depreciation argument at claim time.
“Stated value” and “declared value” are not the same thing. Those policies pay the lesser of your number and actual cash value, which leaves open the exact door your lender needs closed.
Start the conversation with a carrier as soon as you apply. Coverage is almost always the slowest part of the deal.
What agreed value means

The process

How financing works here

01

You apply

Fill in the application below. It takes a few minutes and goes straight to an analyst at Collector Car Leaders. You and we both get a confirmation.

02

An analyst works your file

They take it to their lender network and keep everyone in the loop while it moves. Your rate, term, and eligibility are set by the lender and disclosed to you directly.

03

You bind agreed-value coverage

Once you are approved, get a policy in place with the lender named as lienholder. Starting early here is what decides how fast you close.

04

We handle the paperwork

We send the VIN tag, title or registration, and purchase agreement to the lender, coordinate titling, and get the vehicle ready for you.

Before you start

What to have ready

Nothing here is unusual. Having it to hand just means fewer rounds of back-and-forth once you are approved.

A government-issued photo ID
Proof of income — recent pay stubs, or returns if you are self-employed
Your address history
The vehicle you have in mind, if you have picked one
A rough idea of your down payment
A collector or specialty insurance carrier you can call once approved — and the words “agreed value” ready to use

Our lending partner

Why not just any bank?

Most auto lenders price a loan off a valuation book, and those books cover vehicles sold new in the United States. A 1996 Suzuki Carry imported under the 25-year rule simply isn’t in them — and a lender that can’t value the collateral usually declines rather than guess.

Collector Car Leaders exists for that gap. Their lender network underwrites collector, classic, and imported vehicles as a matter of routine, and their analysts have seen kei trucks before. It is also why the insurance requirement is stricter than you may be used to: agreed value is how everyone, you included, settles what the vehicle is actually worth before there is any argument about it.

Who decides

Not us

Tucson Kei is a licensed dealership, not a lender. We do not set rates, approve credit, or see your application scoring. That is between you and the lender, and they will tell you your terms directly.

Questions

Financing questions

What rate will I get?

That is set by the lender, not by us. Tucson Kei is a dealership, not a lender — Collector Car Leaders and their lending partners make the credit decision and disclose your rate and terms to you directly.

Do I need to pick a vehicle first?

No. Plenty of buyers get approved first and choose afterwards. If you already have one in mind, note it on the application and it moves faster.

Does applying affect my credit?

Your analyst will tell you before anything that affects your credit happens, and you can stop at any point. Submitting the form does not obligate you to anything.

Can an imported kei vehicle be financed at all?

Yes — and that is exactly why we work with a collector-vehicle lender rather than sending you to a standard auto loan desk. Their network underwrites imports as a matter of course.

Why does the insurance have to be agreed value?

Because a standard policy pays actual cash value, and there is no reliable book value for a 25-year-old kei import. Agreed value fixes the number in writing up front, so the lender knows the collateral covers the loan. Our insurance requirements page walks through it.

How long does the whole thing take?

The application is a few minutes and approvals often come back quickly. What usually decides your timeline is how fast insurance gets bound — which is why we push on it so hard.

Can I put money down or trade something in?

A down payment is welcome; talk to your analyst about the amount. Trades are worth a conversation with us directly.

No pressure
